Itinerary:
Ten Days / Moderate
Ten days sounds like a long trip. But by the time you hit the highlights of Ancient Greece, enjoy the food/shopping/tavernas of Nafplio and Delphi, and take in the scenic beauties of this fabled country, your ten days will pass in a blink.
The first three days are spent in Athens, walking the city and visiting the cream of Athens’ rich archaeological crop: the Acropolis, Agora, and National Archaeological Museum. Next, we drive to Northern Greece for three days of stunning museums (Vergina is jaw-dropping!) and awe-inspiring vistas (dramatic Delphi … majestic Mount Olympus). Finally, we head south to spend the remainder of our time ogling Olympia, cruising Corinth, and marveling at Mycenae. As a bonus, throw in Nafplio - one of the most picturesque and relaxing spots in Greece.
