Once the third most powerful city in Greece, the site of ancient Corinth has been humbled by war and earthquake. The modern city has moved north-east a few kilometers, leaving the ancient site to quietly proclaim the wonders of a past era.

Historical Focus:
Most of the ruins of Corinth date from the time of "Roman Corinth" the first century b.c. and a.d. when the city was rebuilt by Caesar and made a Roman colony.
